The wealthy, exclusive enclave is known as Presidio Heights, situated between Presidio and Laurel Heights. It is bounded by California Street, Laurel Heights, Arguello Boulevard, Presidio Avenue to the north, Pacific Avenue, and Presidio parklands to the south. Sacramento Street and California Street both have shopping districts in the neighborhood. The South Korean Consulate General is located at 3500 Clay Street in San Francisco. The Indian Consul General's house is located at 3435 Jackson Street.

Considered a hip place to live, Presidio Heights is an especially welcoming neighborhood for families due to its close proximity to both Pacific Heights and the Richmond district/Lake Street area. Bucolic by any measure, these residences are aesthetically appealing and well-maintained. When you look at single-family homes, you'll see that there are many different architectural types. Also, there are multi-unit buildings and condos available for you to pick from. Although people love this neighborhood's assortment of beautiful homes, many of them like the proximity to the Presidio of San Francisco, which provides approximately three square miles of spectacular open space for enjoyment, Presidio Heights has a calm, peaceful ambiance due to the stretch of green to the north of the neighborhood.

Julius Kahn Playground, located in Presidio Heights, is located just north of the neighborhood. The playground, created in 1923 to accommodate military families who lived at the Presidio, includes new playground equipment, a basketball court, a clubhouse, and playing fields.

 

California Street's Laurel Village is a great location for small errands and for seeking out a cup of coffee. When you browse the area's multitude of shops, cafes, and grocery stores, expect to dodge some strollers. Travel to the other side of Inner Richmond to fully enjoy all the shopping and dining amenities it has to offer.

The neighborhood is somewhat secluded. Those who are staying in the area should expect to see just the well-to-do populace roaming the streets. With sidewalks that are broad and lined with well-tended gardens, the streets are the perfect place to spend time on your own, lost in thought. This location makes it ideal for nature enthusiasts because it is near hiking trails while still being separate from the city.
