Welcome to Lakeside

Lakeside is a long, thin neighborhood, approximately one-quarter mile (0.4 km) long, between Highway 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) and Junipero Serra Boulevard to the south of Sloat Boulevard. Stonestown Galleria and San Francisco State University sit next to one other, while the Merced Library is located on Winston Drive and Stonecrest Drive in the Lakeside district.

The wonderful neighborhood Lakeside Village is the main center of the 1936-1950 community "for the Man of Means." Lakeside Village is on Ocean Avenue and is a thriving commercial center where you can do all your shopping, eating, and daily necessities. In this area, you'll discover homes with white picket fences. No ugly poles or cables are visible while looking out from one's home in this idyllic neighborhood. Additionally, these homes are detached. The neighborhood is not as well-known as some others in San Francisco.
