Welcome to Lake Street (Lake District)

Located north of the Presidio of San Francisco, including Mountain Lake Park and the Presidio Golf Course, is the Lake Street neighborhood. Other neighborhoods that share Lake Street's borders include Presidio Heights to the east (Arguello Boulevard), the Inner Richmond to the south (California Street), and Sea Cliff to the west (27th Avenue). This includes numerous stately Edwardians, Victorians, and Queen Annes, along with many different San Francisco locations. Convenient access to business areas on Geary and Clement streets, Route 1 to the north and south, bike and hiking paths, and downtown San Francisco are part of the Lake Street neighborhood.

Those who reside here are truly grateful for their life in this town. Although this part of the city is further away from the city's heart, it retains a sense of community. Large amounts of 2-unit buildings consisting of either condos or income properties make the streets seem bigger and wider. Depending on your location, you'll discover some enormous but not gorgeous houses around the Presidio and along Land's End. More of these structures are stucco, older, and will include a TIC unit here and there. Park Presidio is filled with traffic even as early as 3:00 p.m. on weekdays. A younger to mid-level professional and a retiree who is more cosmopolitan are both in this group.
