Laguna Honda is also known as the Forest Hill Extension, and it is located south of Dewey Boulevard. While Laguna Honda Boulevard and Clarendon Avenue meet near Laguna Honda Reservoir, the Spanish term Laguna Honda means "deep lagoon."

Gate Heights, Portola, and Glen Canyon on the backside of Twin Peaks form a belt of neighborhoods that connect into one other along steeper slopes. There will be a lot of variances where you'll see this. There will be the typical two-bedroom home, with one full bathroom located above a garage, but you will also see enormous residences sitting straight off the side of a landscape lighting box. For places in the country, you can find scenic vistas, spacious backyards, and many lot sizes and building styles (because of the hilly and curvy topography). The look of the architectural style you'll see will be a combination of Mid-Century-style buildings, classic Spanish-style residences, and everything in between. Fixers might also be around.

In the Inner Sunset of San Francisco, located on the southwestern side of Mount Sutro, near the main campus of the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), Forest Knolls is a neighborhood of the city. To the west is the Warren Drive area, to the south is Mount Sutro, and to the east of that is the Midtown Terrace community. On the whole, homes are typically totally detached, and many offer ocean views.
